We wish to congratulate Dr Chong Su Li on her latest achievement. Her book, Charting an Asian Trajectory for Literacy Education: Connecting Past, Present and Future Literacies, has been highly commended by The UKLA Academic Book Award 2022. This award celebrates published books on important and current work within literacy and quality education.
The book focuses on some of the varied literacy education practices in seven Asian countries. The judges welcomed its range from the early years to university level. The emphasis on researchers’ and research participants’ lived experiences, especially in diverse Asian contexts, makes a distinctive contribution to literacy education, particularly likely to be of interest to researchers and academics.
Dr Chong received the award during the 57th UKLA International Conference held at Birmingham United Kingdom from 1-3 July 2022.
