President of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dr Muhammed Al-Saggaf was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib on 13 February 2023 at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).
The objectives of the visit are to establish impactful partnerships with global universities and highlight on KFUPM’s offerings and opportunities, in addition to identify mutual areas of benefit for both institutions.
Dr Muhammed Al-Saggaf was accompanied by Dr Ali A. Al-Shaiki, Vice President of Research & Innovation, Dr Turki Baroud, Chairman of Materials Science & Engineering Department and Mr Ahmad Altuwajiri, Assistant General Director of Public Relations.
Also present to receive the delegation were Prof Ir Dr Hilmi Mukhtar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof Ir Dr M Shahir Liew, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Commercialisation, Prof Ts. Dr Nor Hisham Hamid, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, Assoc Prof Ir Dr Rosdiazli Ibrahim, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Assoc Prof Dr Jafreezal Jaafar, Dean, Faculty of Science & Information Technology and Assoc Prof Dr Syahrir Ridha, Director of Institute of Hydrocarbon Recovery.
Later in the afternoon, Dr Muhammed Al-Saggaf delivered a talk on Future of Technology and Academia to UTP lecturers, researchers and postgraduates students.
