​PETRONAS President and Group Chief Executive Officer, YBhg Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin recently visited Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) for an engagement session and Academia Day Celebration with the university's staff.

The President was accompanied by President's Special Assistant Unit General Manager Ir En Norafizal Mat Said.  

During the engagement session, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee shared his aspirations and directions for the university.  He also commended UTP for the university's accomplishments - first for producing more than 19,000 graduates who have contributed in various industries both in Malaysia and overseas, with a high percentage of employability.

Then, as a mark of appreciation, he also presented Focused Recognition awards to five departments/divisions and their team members for embracing and demonstrating PETRONAS Cultural Beliefs and thus accomplished excellent achievements in delivering their works and services.

Afterwards, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee also celebrated the Academia Day with UTP's academics and staff.  The Academia Day was initiated and organised by the Education Ministry.  Launched on 5 October, the event was held to honour and recognise lecturers and staff from both public and private higher learning institutions in the country.
