SUCCESS HIGHLIGHTS
MY SURABAYA 02: Community Engagement with BMT Muda
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia and Universitas Airlangga Indonesia (UNAIR) had organised MY SURABAYA 02, a community engagement and an international student exchange programme. 20 UTP students and 30 UNAIR students participated the programme.
The students were given the opportunity to visit Baitulmal Wat Tamwil (BMT Muda), an organisation that helps small and medium enterprise in Indonesia to grow. They were tasked with developing a website for BMT Muda subsidiary company, PT Tajir Global Persada. This is to promote the organisation's services through digital marketing such as e-commerce and social media marketing.
PT Tajir Global Persada operates in various industries including retail, transportation, extraction, agriculture and printing. As the business sector is quite wide, the management needs a platform to promote and manage the information throughout the organisation via an integrated web application and e-commerce to support the flow of information, internally and externally.
