In conjunction with 13th UTP Convocation Ceremony, Yayasan UTP has organised a series of fundraising events as follows:
Scholarship

Yayasan UTP Charity Golf 2013 (12th October 2013)
Yayasan UTP Charity Golf 2013 was organised on 12th October and this tournament has attracted 80 golfers from the oil and gas industry. This fund raising efforts is to increase the financial assistance fund under Student Support Fund (YUTP Bursary).
Industry players such as Exxon Mobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc., Dialog Group Berhad, Deleum Berhad, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Bredero Shaw (M) Sdn Bhd were among the sponsors of the event. The contributions to the YUTP Bursary will enable it to award financial assistance to deserving students of the university.
The event raised RM489,450.00 for Yayasan UTP.
Student Development Activities

UTP Convo Fair 2013 (25th – 27th
Oct 2013)
UTP and the Student's Representative Council organised a three-day festivity at its campus which was officiated by Tuan Haji Ibrahim Bin Ali Director of Student Development Division, Ministry of Education.
Various activities took place during the Convo Fair which included activities like performances by the guest artistes, Amin Idris, Hyperact, local and international UTP talents. The programme is believed to develop the students' soft skill including leadership, entrepreneurial and communication.
Yayasan UTP raised RM4,000 throughout this event.
2.
UTP Convo Ride 2013 (19th Oct 2013)
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS had successfully organised the "CONVORIDE 2013" with the support of Yayasan UTP on the 19th October 2013 involving more than 200 riders from around Perak for a 25km ride which included off-road cycling.
As a part of the University's CSR continuous effort in upholding the spirit of sharing & giving to those in need, 5 schools in the Tronoh area were identified where 5 students from each school (identified by respective schools) received a bicycle each together with all necessary safety kit.
Yayasan UTP managed to raised RM8,120 via sponsorship and bike donation programme.

Alumni Convo Dinner 2013 (26th Oct 2013)
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in collaboration with Yayasan Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (YUTP) organised the 13th Convocation Dinner at UTP Main Hall, Tronoh on 26th October 2013 at 8.00 pm. The dinner was held a night before the graduation day to commemorate the success of UTP students who will be graduating in 2013.
This memorable event is jointly organized with UTP Alumni Association, featuring performances by UTP talented students. The dinner was graced by UTP Vice Chancellor, YABhg Datuk Rahim in the presence of PETRONAS Chairman, PETRONAS President, UTP Board Members, PETRONAS Executive Vice President and their spouses together with other invited guests.
In addition, this event is also an engagement platform for the graduating students to establish networking with their potential employers. Yayasan UTP raised RM16,000 throughout this event.
