Reliability Availability Maintainability Software (ReALMS)

TECHNOLOGY READINESS LEVEL: 7

BRIEF TECHNOLOGY
ReALMS is a reliability data analytic model that uses Non-Homogenous Poisson Process (NHPP) reliability software model for end users, particularly technicians and engineers in analysing the reliability of repairable and non-repairable systems.

PROBLEM STATEMENT & CURRENT ISSUES
  • Current reliability software available is very costly and mostly standalone
  • Very difficult to be used on all computers used to conduct reliability analysis
  • Data and software are mostly limited to one system only
  • Requires multiple software installations to do reliability analysis

USEFULNESS & APPLICATION
  • Web online application employs the method to test the reliability of repairable and non-repairable systems using Nonhomogeneous Poisson Process (NHPP) software model
  • Reliability to ensure systems remain cost-effective as failure would cause a fallout not just to the systems but to the companies’ finances and reputation
  • Failure prediction allows companies to know when to conduct maintenance or repairs

IMPACT OF THE PRODUCT
  • Provides the use of reliability analysis without needing to setup or install multiple software
  • Cost-effective due to home-grown technology
  • Gives ease-of-use and accessibility for technicians and engineers to utilize the web application

MARKET POTENTIAL
  • Manufacture industries
  • Oil & gas industries
  • TNB
