Integrated Anaerobic Digester & Aerobic Composter (i-ADAC)

Technology Readiness Level (TRL): 6

BRIEF TECHNOLOGY
Untreated chicken manure and empty fruit bunches (EFB) frequently employed as organic fertiliser, has raised significant environment concerns due to its potential to contribute pollution and nutrient runoff.

i-ADAC have emerged technology by offering solution to reduce wasteful methane (CH₄) emission associated with organic waste management. This technology will offer agricultural sector to mitigate its environment impact while contributing sustainable practices.

PROBLEM STATEMENT & CURRENT ISSUES

iADAC 1.PNG

TECHNICAL
  • Chicken manure and EFB does not meet the adequate C/N ration for AD.
  • EFB has high lignocellulosic content

OPERATIONAL
  • Requires technically competent person.
  • Challenge to upscale or modify.
  • No all-in-one unit.
USEFULNESS & APPLICATION
  • Generates biogas and biofertilizer
  • Cost-effective
  • Directly scalable via serial connection
  • Minimal technical know-how
  • Modular unit
  • 3-in-1: Treatment, storage and utilization
